Job Description & Position Responsibilities: 

Penta Research is seeking candidates to join our Space Based Interceptor team supporting the prime customer.  The candidate will work full-time onsite supporting the flight software team supporting full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, object oriented software design, development and test and integration.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, or related field from accredited university
  • Proficient in C++, object oriented design
  • Experience working in Agile environment
  • Understanding of software development practices and software process
  • Experience with Git, DevOps, Linux
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficient with standard office computer software (Microsoft® Office®)
  • 4+ years related experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in software engineering or related field from accredited university
  • 8+ years relevant experience
  • Experience with development in VxWorks or similar RTOS
  • Experience with Embedded Systems
  • Experience with flight software or large/complex system simulations
  • Full development lifecycle experience

 

Travel Requirement: 

  • Position location: Huntsville, AL.   No travel is required for this position.
