JPI is seeking a SharePoint and Power BI Developer to assist senior-level clients and leadership within the U.S. Coast Guard in a wide range of efforts including SharePoint, Power Apps and Power BI environments with a strong emphasis on designing and delivering interactive Power BI dashboards that drive operational decisions. This role will work directly in a highly charged and fast-paced environment as a main point of contact.

 Responsibilities Include:

  

  • Configure and customize SharePoint systems including design, architecture, availability, reliability and performance. 
  • Build workflows, landing pages, subsites, banners while collaborating with the design team on graphics. 
  • Create web parts, lists/libraries, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation, permissions, and data management. 
  • Build scalable web applications and reporting using Power Apps and Power BI, leverage OOTB solutions, write and modify code, debug software and/or identify solutions for SharePoint sites. 
  • Develop and manage all aspects of the SharePoint environment. 
  • Build workflow forms using SharePoint Designer, PowerApps/Flow, and Power Automate.
  • Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reporting sites; connect to diverse data sources (SQL, SharePoint, APIs, Dataverse).
  • Optimize Power BI datasets, DAX measures, and report performance for large-scale Coast Guard datasets. 
  • Administer Power BI Service: workspaces, gateways, content packs, scheduled refresh, and app deployment. 
  • Embed Power BI reports securely on SharePoint Online modern pages.
  • Lead and/or facilitate meetings and working groups geared toward the development of SharePoint solutions that address the needs of stakeholders across the client space, including military and civilian workforces. 
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data to provide informed guidance/recommendations for SharePoint and web development. 
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior personnel, including Flag Officers, while providing coaching to senior leadership and/or client personnel. 
  • Contribute to development and revision of both new and existing job aids documents that support clients and contractor support teams on use and navigation of SharePoint. 
  • Contribute to and manage the development of best practices for technological change management, communications, and implementation plans. 
  • Facilitate client meetings and exercises to understand and document full scope of deliverable requirements.


Requirements
  • Must have at least 5-10 years’ experience in SharePoint and Power BI development; bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or Fabric Analytics Engineer strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Solutions Developer Certifications are preferred. 
  • Extensive knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365 Suite of Products from Microsoft. 
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, C#, SQL Server, and Web Services, SPFx, PnP PowerShell, and REST APIs.
  • Proficiency in PowerApps, Infopath and Power Automate.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI development, including creating and managing interactive dashboards. 
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment; comfortable in Agile Scrum teams
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for Flag Officers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience directly managing projects and deadlines. 
  • Experience leading the planning and development of key strategic messaging, communications or talking points. 
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. 
  • Must be a US Citizen; active Public Trust or ability to obtain within 30 days preferred.
