POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for data analysis and reporting related to high performance EMS. Using various tools to collect, clean, and interpret data to find patterns and trends, using statistical techniques to help the organization make informed decisions. Responsibilities span across collecting data from various sources, analyzing it to answer business questions, and presenting findings through reports and visualizations as well as project planning and implementation.

 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop data analysis, trends and demand analysis models.
  • Analyze data and generate useful evidence-based quality measures.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results.
  • Outline the specific data needs for each analysis project.
  • Communicate with programs teams about data changes or requirements.
  • Effectively collaborate with leadership to understand system needs and devise possible solutions, including the ability to:
    • Identify and recommend efficient streamlined data and reporting processes.
    • Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics.
    • Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers to ensure timely, effective customer care.
  • Effectively communicate (written and oral) with employees and leadership as needed.
  • Effectively train and educate employees as needed.
  • Follow project specifications and timelines as defined.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Assist IT department in general tasks.
  • Respond to service calls as needed. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a high-performance EMS system or equivalent.
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-starter and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Ability to be on call for after-hours issues seven days a week on rotation. 

Experience Preferred

  • Knowledge of industry standards such as NEMSIS, VEMSIS, AIM High, NEMSQA.
  • Basic to intermediate use of SQL language.
  • Strong use of internal controls, policies and processes.
  • Agile and ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changes during each assignment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.  
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and making visual inspection.
  • Repetitive movements on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for distances or moving from one workstation to another.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

  • Candidates selected for employment are subject to a urinalysis/swab test to screen for illegal drugs. Candidates who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with the Richmond Authority. 
  • Candidates selected for employment are subject to a fingerprint background screening. Candidates who refuse to be fingerprinted will be denied employment with the Richmond Authority. 
  • New employees complete a probationary period.
