TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Sr Systems Analyst to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Summary: This position will provide configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting support to Infinity tolling installations throughout the state of Pennsylvania (normal business and off hours). While this position will be dedicated to projects within Pennsylvania, limited support for other projects may be required as time permits.

Overview: The Systems Analyst will provide day-to-day technical support and triage for all East Region Toll System Projects.  This includes daily system monitoring, alert response and triage, issue resolution and escalation, support system deployments, as well as managing all issue tickets within the regional Jira system.  This position also supports the regional deployment team to ensure all systems are configured correctly with applicable system parameters to meet customer requirements.  Additionally, this position ensures data flow is functioning properly including meeting customer performance requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities required other duties may be assigned:

  • Provide software and hardware Support-Triage for all toll systems within the region during normal business and on-call shifts.  This includes pre and post system deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and follow through-to-resolution issues concerning the application, including configuration, database, peripherals, registry setting, etc.
  • Support system configuration validation during and post deployment of new systems or system changes to legacy systems.
  • Reporting and analytical skills to interpret system data and how it relates to possible system issues, general data flow, and accuracy.
  • Networking tasks such as adding windows devices to domain, configuring NIC settings, NTP settings.
  • Modifying configuration files and FTP session file transfers to Linux devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database integrity issues, performance issues, replication issues, connectivity issues, and security issues.
  • Create ad-hoc SQL queries as needed but support the Database Team for system upgrades and or performance-related issues.
  • Review and execute stored procedures as needed.
  • Create, review and utilize technical documents.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of professional experience with troubleshooting and customer support.
  • 5+ years of experience in Windows Server support and administration
  • Proficiency with remote sessions to servers, windows desktops and Linux devices.
  • Proficiency with Windows scripting/PowerShell. Both editing and writing.
  • Familiarity with MSMQ and services installation and configuration.
  • Familiarity with Virtual Machine environments
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions with little supervision.
  • Ability to analyze transaction data reports and reconcile data differences and report findings to stakeholders
  • Highly motivated team-player who can establish excellent working relationships with peers and other teams.
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new scenarios quickly.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and estimate for delivery commitments.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, phone, and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • 3+ years of professional experience with troubleshooting and customer support.
  • 3+ years of experience in Windows Server support and administration
  • 3+ years of professional experience in SQL Server Database support and administration. The latest experience should be with using SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2019, 2022.

 Education:  

 Bachelor in Computer Science, or equivalent experience required
