JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will lead core financial planning activities, including maintaining sales and P&L forecasts and supporting the annual budgeting process to enhance strategic decision-making and provide clear visibility into future performance. The SFA will also deliver ad-hoc reporting across the organization while acting as a strategic financial partner—advising operational teams on cost and margin implications and collaborating with the quoting department to ensure overhead rates, labor assumptions, and pricing align with the company’s profitability goals and competitive strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis for all functions throughout the organization.
- Utilize Business Intelligence tools to develop reports for analyzing current and past trends of KPIs.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget, forecasts (Sales; P&L), and financial 3-year strategic plan
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
- Partner with operations to drive margin improvement initiatives
- Maintain all financial files. (Monthly internal & external packages, forecast, budget, etc.)
- Prepare and distribute monthly internal and external financial reporting packages.
- Prepare quarterly BOD slides for Finance/Accounting.
- Prepare rolling 13-week cash forecast
- Support during the year-end external audit process
Job Skills Requirements
- Strong leadership skills required. Experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SQL experience highly preferred.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Cost Accounting experience a plus
- Microsoft Office suite experience (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience working with ERP systems (IQMS is a plus)
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA a plus but not required; CPA, CMA or other certification a plus but not required; 4-6 years of accounting of finance experience in a financial planning and analysis role. Prior public accounting experience a plus.
