Responsibilities

What you’ll be able to do: 

Software Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI.  Designing, building, deploying and supporting cloud applications and is interested in working with a portfolio of strategic analytic solutions. Collaborate with multiple organizations including Manufacturing Business Customers, Product Owners, Data Engineering, and IT to convert business goals into analytics solutions.  Work in small, cross functional teams and embrace lean and agile practices, software best practices, software quality scanning, automated testing, and CI/CD. Develop and provide ongoing support/maintenance of the analytic solutions. Work with Architects on solutions and the architecture/design of the Product, provide feedback and recommendations on presented products. Develop solutions and the resolution of technical issues. PRODUCT AND REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT: Participate in and lead development of requirements, user story development, use cases, and test cases. Participate in stand-up operations meetings. Support Integration Projects, Author process and design documents. Work with IT Operations (ITO), IT Engineering, Asset Planning Lifecycle Management (APLM) and GDIA Business Customers in the acquisition, provisioning, installation, configuration and testing of hardware and software. Work with GDIA business customers in migration from old tools and platforms to new and adoption of new tools. Participate and lead incident, problem, change and service request related activities including root cause analysis (RCA) and proactive problem management or defect prevention activities.



Qualifications

You'll have... 

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Information Systems or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.   2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  1.    Designing and implementing cloud solutions using Java, Python or C++ or C# and frameworks using Spring Boot, Spring, Flask, and Fast API or R-based applications. 2. Programming, installing, and using software development methodologies on Windows and Unix or Linux operating systems. 3. Installing, building monitoring, optimizing, and refining different aspects of model infrastructure to improve performance, stability, and efficiency using tuning infrastructure including Terraform, Kubernetes, and Grafana. 4. Build, deploy, and manage applications and infrastructure using cloud computing technologies including GCP, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Tekton, or Terraform for efficiency. 5. Utilizing data processing technologies including Apache Beam and Streaming Kafka, with relational databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL and data warehouses including BigQuery. 6. Design and develop REST based microservice and APIs with Front end technology’s Angular, React, JavaScript, or CSS. 7. Utilizing various testing frameworks including Junit for Java, Jasmine, Karma, and JEST for JavaScript, Angular and React with ability to write unit, integration, end-to-end tests.

We are offering a salary of $84,053.00 - $197,750.40/yr.
