We're seeking a Software Developer to join our DevOps team in Austin, TX, where you'll develop high-quality software solutions that enhance our software delivery pipelines and capabilities. You'll support development teams worldwide who build DeltaV, our industry-leading process control system.

DeltaV is our pioneering, flagship distributed process control system trusted by leading companies in chemical, life sciences, and energy industries. The platform encompasses rich desktop and web applications for engineering and operating process control systems, plus real-time embedded firmware in controllers and field devices that directly control industrial processes.

As a Software Developer, you'll maintain and enhance existing software builds and developer environments while creating and supporting next-generation cloud-based tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate – Foster innovation and teamwork by partnering with team members, product developers, and leadership to build and maintain our continuous delivery pipeline. Engage in agile practices including sprint planning and retrospectives, plus participate in Hackathons, Tech Talks, and Communities of Practice.

Innovate – Research, prototype, and implement innovative technologies to strengthen our market leadership. Leverage the latest tools and frameworks to accelerate business outcomes and enhance our software delivery processes.

Automate – Develop automated processes that expand our CI/CD pipeline and ensure release-ready products. Create scripts and programs to streamline both routine and complex tasks.

Iterate – Drive continuous improvement in our DevOps environment and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Skilled in C# with hands-on experience using Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio) on Windows OS
  • Expertise in Git source control
  • Strong scripting capabilities in PowerShell and/or Python
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps for creating, deploying, and maintaining Virtual Machines, CI/CD Pipelines, Builds, and Storage solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:  

  • DevOps experience within the Software Development Lifecycle in enterprise-scale environments
  • C++/C development experience
  • Azure DevOps organization administration experience
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) certification
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience with tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
  • IT infrastructure support experience (servers, networking) for development tools and monitoring platforms like Splunk
  • Experience with static code analysis tools (SonarQubeFortifyCoverity)
  • Container orchestration experience (DockerKubernetes)
