Job Description

Are you a technically skilled Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer ready to take ownership of complex digital marketing campaigns? We’re looking for a hands-on expert who can build, optimize, and execute high-impact email marketing workflows using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing and data teams to transform business requirements into automated, data-driven campaigns that drive engagement and measurable results—all while ensuring compliance with privacy and SPAM regulations.

In this role, you’ll leverage your deep knowledge of HTML, AMPscript, and data segmentation to design and deploy sophisticated email communications and automated journeys. You’ll also build and maintain best practices, troubleshoot deliverability issues with ISPs, and create actionable insights through Marketing Cloud Intelligence reporting.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skills: 

• Familiarity with email delivery and email campaign management.
• Experience understanding data segmentation​.
• Ability to translate segmentation requirements to Data Analysts and create data segments using data extensions as needed​.
• Understanding of User Roles​ and permissions.
• Understanding of Salesforce Content Builder, Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.​
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build “trust” with the customer.
• Attention to detail resulting in high quality and a strong follow through.
• Demonstrated analytical ability for problem solving.
• Detailed oriented mindset.
• Effective communicator and listener.

Education & Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years related professional business experience. Combinations of related education and experience will be considered.
• Basic-level programming, testing, and implementation of database-driven web applications using XHTML, CSS, SQL, SSJS, REST API, SOAP API, and Salesforce’s AmpScript preferred.
• Experience with Litmus or similar email testing tools preferred.
• Experience with Tableau preferred.
• Experience with Marketing Cloud Intelligence Reports preferred.
• Preferred Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications:
  • Marketing Cloud Email Specialist.
  • Marketing Cloud Administrator.
  • Marketing Cloud Consultant.
  • Marketing Cloud Developer.
  • Marketing Cloud Intelligence Accredited Professional.

Additional Information

The compensation range for this position is $70,000- $80,000 annually. This is a hybrid position based out of our Bloomington, Indiana office.
