The Quality Analyst collects and analyzes data, identifies patterns and trends, and develops actionable next steps to improve quality and reduce cost. The Quality Analyst works with organizational stakeholders to train their staff in closing gaps in care, coordinate and facilitate meetings to review progress in quality programs, identifies and develops new policies and processes, and conducts patient outreach and education to meet program goals. The Quality Analyst works with the Quality Management Team to identify necessary resources to improve the quality of care and support initiatives across organizational practices. The Quality Analyst is an integral member of the health care team who works to ensure patient safety, best practices, and high-quality standards of care are maintained across the organization.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
Oversees the development, deployment, evaluation of improvement and safety plans for their assigned departments to improve quality and reduce cost. Coordinates and facilitates meetings to review progress in quality programs implemented.
Supports assigned departments in collection of data related to clinical results. Locates and identifies problems that continue to arise with regularity. Works with the assigned departments to implement action plans to address issues identified.
Works with organization stakeholders to close gaps in care. Collects information from department members, including interviewing employees, to identify opportunities to improve patient care.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, etc. Identifies compliance issues at the facility.
Develops new programs and protocols that lead to improved care.
Monitors and evaluates the development and results of all improved programs and initiatives to determine their results, then modify as needed.
Assists in preparing for accreditation and regulatory inspections. Participates in rounding and feedback to assigned departments.
Prepares for monthly Performance Improvement and Safety Committee Meetings.
Supports the Quality Management team as needed.
Education/Accredited Programs
Requires a bachelor's degree, plus two years of related experience.
Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Experience working in population health, utilization review/utilization management, and/or quality improvement required.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) preferred
CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety) preferred
Skills/Abilities
Ability to work with all stakeholders: physicians, office staff, practice managers, executive suite, consultants, payor organizations, etc.
Experience with computer databases to track and analyze data
Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills, and must be comfortable presenting regularly to healthcare staff and leadership
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work with all stakeholders: physicians, office staff, practice managers, executive suite, consultants, payor organizations, etc.
Familiarity with regulations and reporting requirements (DNV, NYSDOH, CMS)

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $61,000 to $84,000 annually. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
