Description

This is an onsite position in Valhalla, NY. As part of the Network Services team within Oracle's Healthcare organization, you will be responsible for leading strategy, engineering, & cloud transformation for critical health systems. Architect and deploy regional, highly-secure network solutions (SD-WAN, OCI, Arista, Palo) to ensure patient data availability and 24/7 reliability.



Responsibilities
  • Lead the lifecycle management (Build, Deploy, and Management) of all global network infrastructure, including high-availability WAN, LAN, and WLAN services at massive scale.
  • Architect and implement secure, resilient, and highly-available network solutions supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and critical on-premise components for global healthcare systems.
  • Drive the cloud network transformation strategy, integrating services like SD-WAN, zero-trust security models, and automated provisioning across the enterprise.
  • Proactively optimize network performance and capacity, applying industry best practices and leading-edge technology to ensure 24/7 reliability for mission-critical patient-facing systems.
  • Establish and enforce global network standards and security policies, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare and data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
  • Serve as the Tier 3 technical escalation point for complex network issues, leading root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks for all new and existing services.
  • Collaborate with Global IT leadership to define the long-term network technology roadmap, aligning investments with Oracle Healthcare's growth and operational security needs.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior network staff, fostering a culture of operational excellence and security awareness.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on, progressive experience in network engineering, deployment, and operational support within a large-scale, multi-vendor enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience working in a HIPAA/HITECH-compliant or similarly regulated industry, with strong demonstrated knowledge of data security and privacy requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent military experience will be considered.
  • Current CCNP Enterprise or equivalent professional-level certification (e.g., Arista ACE, Juniper JNCIP).
  • Relevant security certification such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or Cisco Certified CyberOps/Security Professional (Highly Valued).
  • Familiarity with storage networking (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI) and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere) to facilitate cross-functional collaboration (Is a Plus).
  • Expert proficiency in dynamic routing protocols, including BGP for external routing and complex internal protocols like OSPF and ISIS, in addition to standard TCP/IP fundamentals.
  • Deep expertise in high-performance switching and routing protocols, with a strong emphasis on multi-site data center deployments utilizing technologies like EVPN/VXLAN.
  • Hands-on experience with high-capacity switching and routing platforms, including Arista and other major vendor equipment (e.g., Cisco Nexus).
  • Experience designing and supporting secure, high-density WLAN systems (e.g., Aruba, Cisco, Arista) and their integration with the core access layer.
  • Expert-level proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls (including Panorama management, App-ID, and policy segmentation).
  • Direct, hands-on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), including policy creation, Guest access, and posture assessment.
  • Experience with SASE principles and technologies, including Netskope, PRISMA (or other major SSE/ZTNA vendors) for secure cloud and remote access.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and managing network connectivity within public cloud environments, specifically Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other major cloud providers (Azure/AWS), including Hybrid Cloud connections.
  • Strong practical experience with scripting/programming (Python preferred) and using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Git) for network configuration management, orchestration, and service provisioning.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $33.94 to $67.88 per hour; from: $70,600 to $141,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
