Position Summary
As a Transmission Engineering Material Management Analyst Associate at Oncor, you will play a key role in providing expertise in a broad range of responsibilities in the management of equipment, including forecasting, ordering, tracking, prioritizing, delivery coordination, and project closeout. This position assures that materials arrive on time to support the annual Transmission Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) plan and that risk is mitigated through process management and supplier diversity.
Key Responsibilities
Directly or through others, the incumbent:
- Work the Transmission Engineers, Supply Chain, Transmission PMO (Program Management Office), Transmission Operations, and other stakeholders to forecast material needs across multiple years of Transmission CAPEX portfolios.
- Work with TPMO and Transmission Construction to understand project priorities and milestones to effectively manage material needs.
- Proactively identify upcoming material challenges and mitigate/communicate associated risks.
- Place orders for bulk and Transmission projects by required lead time deadlines and coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure that Work Orders and/or Purchase Orders are created and completed as required to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor open orders, lead times, and portfolio needs to ensure supplemental orders are placed to meet required volumes by need dates.
- Coordinate with material suppliers through multiple mediums (phone, email, conference calls, factory visits) to lead discussions on forecasts, open orders, production sequence prioritizations, and delivery dates to meet project deadlines.
- Support Transmission Operations with the delivery of material through coordination with suppliers and Oncor Supply Chain.
- Transfer material, in accounting systems, between Transmission projects to ensure appropriate charging of costs to projects.
- Serve as material lead on major capital projects as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of Oncor Program, Maintenance and Construction activity in support of Transmission Operations.
- Maintain knowledge of various materials, manufacturers, product description and application.
- Develop, summarize, and communicate key findings to Transmission management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment to Transmission management’s performance expectations.
- Maintain professional and effective relationship with external and internal stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise, recommendations, and field support for Oncor construction and maintenance activities.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required + 4 years of related experience or
- Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of related experience or
- Master’s Degree in business, supply chain, finance, or accounting.
