Description Support assigned program area in an hourly capacity and perform duties as assigned.
How you will contribute:
Cross-Functional : Provide support for the Central Office Infrastructure Investment Division (IID) programming efforts. Anticipate and balance the needs of multiple internal and external stakeholders. Apply knowledge of business and the transportation industry to advance the division’s interests.
Financial Management : Conduct financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation in compliance with state and federal financial management and commonwealth transportation board funding program policies. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with state and federal program guidelines and communications with external stakeholders.
Implementation: Support the Infrastructure Investment Division in the review and execution of CTB policies in the relation to the execution of the Six Year Improvement Program and the project development process.
Local Programs Support : Perform IID activities associated with local program coordination and project delivery.

Ability to represent the Infrastructure Investment Division (IID) in various forums regarding project development change processes, project identification, or other transportation funding issues.
Knowledge of VDOT project development processes and VDOT financial programming in the Six Year Improvement Program (SYIP).
Knowledge of the Commonwealth’s transportation programming and project development procedures; specifically, related policies, project change processes, and funding.
Skill in oral and written communications and development of complex and sensitive reports and presentation materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audiences and to make presentations and conduct meetings.
Ability to represent the Infrastructure Investment Division (IID) in various forums regarding project development change processes, project identification, or other transportation funding issues.
Knowledge of project development processes and financial programming in the Six Year Improvement Program (SYIP).
Knowledge of the Commonwealth’s transportation programming and project development procedures; specifically, related policies, project change processes, and funding.
Skill in oral and written communications and development of complex and sensitive reports and presentation materials.
Additional Considerations:
A combination of training, experience or education in civil engineering, urban or transportation planning, or related field desired.
Background in transportation operations or civil engineering.
Experience with VDOT project development processes and VDOT financial programming in the Six Year Improvement Program (SYIP).
