Current is seeking a software developer to join our progressive and dynamic fast-paced enterprise software team.  These are exciting times - our industry and user expectations are changing and so are we! We are developing the next generation of world class Internet of Things (IoT) connected lighting controls and building management system. This is a hands-on development role that will directly contribute to the development and expansion of our cutting-edge cloud connected IoT applications and offerings with the latest software technologies and tools.  This is an onsite role at our engineering design center located in Round Rock, TX.  

We are looking for a talented and creative problem solver. You will be involved in the complete software development life cycle, seeing your work evolve from epics and user stories into a finished software application in a hybrid agile environment. This will require a high degree of collaboration between highly talented, cross-functional and geographically dispersed development teams. You will work closely with industry-best product owners, UX designers and other development team members to understand the business needs, propose, architect and develop end-to-end software solutions.   

Essential Functions 

 Develop high-performing and reliable software components and web applications with C#.NET and Angular

  • Work and collaborate with other software and hardware design team members to develop innovative products and applications
  • Participate in the definition of system functional requirements
  • Research, assess and adapt to new technologies necessary for future enhancements of products
  • Develop high-performance and reliable software products and services
  • Protect intellectual property through patent disclosures and applications 

Basic Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University
  • 2 years+ of software development experience with web-based applications
  • 2 years+ of hands-on experience with back-end technologies – C#.NET, node.js
  • 2 years+ of hands-on experience with front-end technologies – HTML/JavaScript, Angular 18+
  • Minimum 1 year of experience defining and using SQL to manipulate application data
  • Minimum 1 year of experience developing for the Linux/Ubuntu platform
  • Minimum 1 year of experience deploying to the cloud 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or closely related discipline
  • Working knowledge of database design, SQL Queries, and transactions
  • Experience developing JavaScript dashboarding and reporting solutions  
  • Working knowledge of design patterns and best coding practices
  • Sound understanding of Agile development processes
  • Knowledge of server configurations, including Nginx and Apache configurations
  • Experience programming in C/C++
  • Knowledge of cyber security vulnerability mitigation
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams

Compensation 

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $112,000-$140,000.
