Pay Range: Actual pay may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for incentive compensation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Technical and Analytical

• Leverage Power BI reports and curated Snowflake views to analyze data and identify trends with department stakeholders.
• Integrate multiple sources of Operational and Customer data for analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
• Collect data for weekly, monthly, and quarterly corporate reports and projects.
• Create reports and conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed.
• Conduct research across all of Sorenson customer bases, including but not limited to Net Promoter Score insights, standard KPIs, customer experience feedback collection/output, and custom quantitative and qualitative research.

Relationship Management

• Drive usage of Power BI reports and data awareness among department stakeholders through regular meetings and working sessions.
• Execute analysis and reporting to develop customer insights that drive growth opportunities, innovative ideas, and product roadmaps with department stakeholders.
• Participate in projects working with both internal teams and external team leaders, collaborate on data collection, data review, report preparation, analysis, crafting data-driven stories, and communication to intended stakeholders.
• Document analysis and communicate effectively to a non-technical audience.

Miscellaneous

• Develop a thorough understanding of customer data, business operations, and research/analysis studies to identify targetable customer segments and make impactful recommendations.
• Assist in developing research plans and program testing to address the challenges with market ambiguity and changes in consumer behavior over time.
• Learn, educate, and make recommendations regarding analytical tools and technologies to further the maturity of departmental analytics.
• Understand and operate within compliance safeguards for customer information for Sorenson’s highly regulated businesses.
• Manage the intake of service, research, and reporting requests received through the Business Intelligence Department mailbox or intake forms from frontline employees.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education

Minimum of a 4 Year Bachelors Degree in Economics, statistics, mathematics, data science, computer science, information technology, other business-related area, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Experience with Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 data visualization tools (Power BI and or tableau) and SQL language
• Data analysis and collection
• Communication with stakeholders in external teams

Technical and Analytical

• Good analytical, logical, qualitative, and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Aptitude for learning new systems and business processes.
• Desire to learn and grow within the analytics space.
• Ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Power BI preferred.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
• Familiarity with statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, regression, probability analysis, and risk analysis using one or more analytical tools.

Communication

• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to weave insights into creative storytelling to lead by influence.
• Team-oriented and collaborative approach to working with others.
• Ability to create and pull reports and interpret patterns across multiple data sources.
